Nothing really gets me mad.
Not really.
I’m a very calm person, like all the time.
(I get mad on Tumblr, but not really.)
But the dog next door just attacked my dog.

I have a yorkie. They have a fucking monster.
Next time I see that thing I’m going whoop it’s tail until it leaves our yard. I swear to God.
You have aroused the anger of the yorkie’s mother.

THIS YARD IS DEFENDED.

I suddenly processed the fact that pretty much everyone on tumblr has their computer in their room and I’m just sitting here at our family computer that’s next to the dinner table where everybody can see it and spending every second on tumblr praying that nobody decides to post any porn.

To Do List:
Introducing a friend to Horrible Histories.

Friend:

Me:

So today, went to the coffee shop / bookstore. And I wandered into the classics section, hoping to find some Sherlock.
The first book I see:
Sitting upright, prominently displayed, a 1059-page Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Novels and Stories.

Volume One.

Only 4 dollars.

So that’s my summer reading.
Well, one of about thirty books and counting.
My current To Read list is about a yard and a bit long.

After that I went over to the yarn / fabric store and ordered about 40 dollars worth of yarn.
Yeah.
Why?

I simply must have that scarf.

Let’s just hope my parents don’t pry into how I spend my money…

But that doesn’t matter- I’m learning to knit!

And oh my gosh, it’s going to take forever.
……cue massive rewatch of every Doctor Who I can find on Netflix!

So:
The Great Watching My Grandparents Watch Reichenbach So I Can Relive The Surprise I Never Had.
First off, my grandmother couldn’t watch it until Monday because of Bridge Club. So I watched it with my grandfather on Sunday.
Turns out, he read the book, so he wasn’t very surprised at anything.

So then on today I watched it with my grandmother.
She read the book, too.

But you know, on the bright side of things, my mother hasn’t read the books, and just started Sherlock a couple weeks ago.
She’ll finish up Series One within the week, and pretty soon I can watch Reichenbach with her.
And she’ll be surprised.
Right?

Mom called halfway through to talk to my grandmother.
Turns out she watched Reichenbach last night.

She thought it would be fine. And even my grandmother said that you could take the episodes out of context.

So in the end- nobody was surprised by anything, and my mother’s Sherlockian upbringing was spoiled.

And now I’m left alone, with Poker Faced Sherlockians and Half Sherlockians and Spoiled Sherlockians…

I’m watching The Reichenbach Fall with my grandparents tomorrow.

You don’t know how amazing this is going to be for me, so I will explain.
I first heard of Sherlock several months ago.
When the Fall was ALL OVER MY DASH.
And so, after seeing all the theories, I thought “I should get my own opinion…”
So I watched the Fall myself.
Just the Fall bit. As soon as he was taken away, I stopped it.
Stop judging me.
I watched it because I thought I’d never get into Sherlock.

BUT THAT WAS MY FIRST BIT OF SHERLOCK EVER. MORIARTY’S SUICIDE, AND THEN SHERLOCK’S FALL.
When I finally went and watched all the Sherlock, the Fall was always looming over my head. My sister knew too (because she’s on tumblr).
And we both held each other… for the Fall…
AND THEN SHIT OURSELVES WHEN SHERLOCK APPEARED AGAIN BECAUSE WE NEVER SAW THAT COMING AND LIKE REALLY HOW HOW HOW SHERLOCK AND JOHN POOR JOHN AND
ANYWAY.
But I never got the surprise, the numb shock of the Fall.
Just like I never got the shock of “I’m you’re daughter.” (Doctor Who. Yeah, that was spoiled for me.)
The next best thing, for me, is tomorrow night.
I can watch the surprise on my grandparents’ faces.
And I can soak in the secondhand shock.
